Joint project with the Department of Applied Physics, University of Athens/National Observatory of Athens funded by the British Council/ Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology.
This project is using the computer software Radiance to compare the use of a CIE overcast sky based daylight factor and a uniform sky based daylight factor with a daylight factor generated from the diffuse component of a sunny sky where the facade is not exposed to direct radiation. The clear sky daylight factor will be generated from the average of the daylight factors predicted by simulation every hour for one day per month for the whole year.
Work commenced April 1995 for 24 months.
